Iron-on Patch instructions
How to attach your embroidered patch
Attach embroidered patches to fabric by ironing or sewing them using safety pins.
The iron-on attachment method is the most popular. Here’s how to apply your patch with this method.
Choose a sturdy base for your patch, preferably denim or cotton.
Lay your item on a flat, heat-proof surface.
Set the iron to high, steam-free setting your fabric can handle.
Pre-iron the chosen patch area.
Place the patch on the fabric.
Cover your patch with a thin cloth, like an extra shirt or rag.
Press the iron over the cloth-covered patch for 25 seconds and then another 25 seconds on the backside.
Remove the iron and let the patch cool.
Check the patch’s edges– if they are not secure repeat the process.
For extra durability, sew the patch edges to the fabric by hand or with a sewing machine.
To increase the patch’s lifespan, hand wash with cold water only when necessary.
Allow to air dry.
Full adhesion will be complete in 48 hours.
